Alex Cambridge

At the age of 9, Alex Cambridge developed a keen interest in music. It was from there she began writing and producing songs from her bedroom. Having featured on platforms such as Westwood TV and BBC Radio 1 Xtra, the 20-year-old singer/songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist is currently at work on her debut EP –a perfect blend of Acoustic, Folk and Pop inspired songs that reflects her musical journey, passion and lyrical ability beyond her years.

A true musician, who started singing at age three, learned to play piano aged eleven and guitar shortly after, Cambridge will be writing, producing, mixing and self-releasing her debut EP to be released in 2015. “It has been a long journey, but I’m excited to share these songs and hopefully people can relate and be inspired by them.” In preparation for its release, she is currently performing around London whilst developing a following through her online platforms.

For her debut EP, Cambridge is working in the studio at her London home, which she set up in her bedroom. From there she will deliver a project that is of industry quality, as well as honest and relatable lyrics that will connect with all those who listen. “My music is always real—I don’t want to be false or untrue to myself,” says Cambridge, who lists artists such as Tori Kelly, John Mayer and Neil Diamond and as her key musical inspirations. “My aim is to make music people can relate and connect to, being able to do that makes being a musician even more fulfilling.”
